Back in Dallas, there’s a neighborhood called Deep Ellum. It’s a grungy scene that’s absolute perfection. With solid food, music, and street art, it’s hard to find fault with it. It’s my favorite spot in all of Dallas.
Brixton is better. Way better.
To get a little taste of what it offers, here’s a video of some guys I follow on YouTube exploring the area:
Over in Brixton Village, there’s a mixture of market stalls and hip, quaint cafes. It was a rainy day in London (terribly cliché), so I thought Brixton would be the perfect opportunity to find a coffee shop and edit photos. What I didn’t realize was that choosing just one place was going to be so difficult.
I’m not sure why I love grungy neighborhoods so much. Maybe it’s the diversity and culture. Maybe the diversity in food. The colors, the vibrance.
After working, walking, and eating my way through Brixton, I went back to my hostel and took a 3 hour nap. Today = success.
