We Got Our Nails Did

Ok, so a person can only be lazy for so long before they start going stir-crazy.

And for me that day was today.

Don’t get me wrong, I was not looking forward to bundling up for the cold, but I was on a mission. I needed to mail my final postcard. I can’t remember if I’ve ever mentioned about sending postcards on here …

Basically I send postcards back to myself from every city I’ve been to. I address it “Dear Future Meagan,” and I write three main things that I don’t want to forget about the city. I’m very excited to get home and reread through them all!

So, that meant that I needed to go to the post office and purchase an international stamp. Now that sounds like an easy task … until you get there and realize that everything is in Korean and everyone is standing in random lines …

Ultimately, I just assessed the situation and found the little ticket box to get a number (the box that everyone else was grabbing from as well). When I went up to the counter, a worker took my postcards and saw that it was addressed to USA. I paid, I left. Easy enough.

Then when Emily came home from work, we went to go get our nails done! Which is always a fun little pamper. We walked up the road to a place called Angel Nail, and we got gel manicures.

After we were done with that, we went to a little mom & pop restaurant where we had kimbap and 부대찌개 (budae-jjigae) again, and it was still tasty. I’m going to really miss Korean food. Luckily Dallas has a tiny little Korean scene working, so I won’t go without.

And after that? After that I began packing up my backpack for the final time. And then the tears came.

Like I’m ready to come home … but am I ready for this dream to come to a close?
