Checking In
The San Luis Resort located in Galveston, TX is a fresh and vibrant hotel located right off the sandy beach. As I walked through the main doors and into the lobby, I could feel my worries and cares melt away. The smell of fresh flowers graciously greeted me while the sun shimmered through the tall windows and onto my skin. I continued through the stunning entrance, and found my way to the reception desk. All during my stay with the San Luis, I had the privilege of having extraordinarily kind and helpful staff, security, and valet. I was quickly checked in and was off to discover my room on the VIP floor.
The Room
If you are looking for a bit of privacy and indulgence during your stay in Galveston, then look no further than the San Luis Resort. Of the 250 rooms located on the premise, three of those levels are restricted Penthouse floors. As I walked into my room located on the top floor, my breath was instantly taken away. With its open floor plan and views of the ocean, I could not get over how lovely my room was. I stepped out onto the balcony and let the sweet coastal breezes kiss my cheeks and hair. By the next morning, I was again out indulging in the views of the sunrise and contemplating going for a jog on the beach. I, however, could not be bothered to leave the comfort of my hotel robe.
One of my favorite amenities while staying with San Luis would be their Molton Brown bath and body products. After having traveled for nearly two months, the shampoo and conditioner did absolute wonders to my tired and dull hair. I walked out of the bathroom feeling fresh and rejuvenated.
The Amenities
With amenities and services that the San Luis Resort provide, it is tempting to never leave the hotel! Located just a wander away, you can find a heated outdoor pool and slide, a swim up bar called the H2o, a cozy fire pit, and much more! If you are interested in having a bit of pampering done, make your way to the Spa San Luis where you can enjoy things from massages and facials to yoga classes and fitness centers. They also offer a full-service salon and a Style boutique.
Dining
The San Luis Resort truly is stunning everywhere you look. With so much detail presented in every nook and cranny, it appears that this hotel never ends. I further believe this after seeing the many dining options available to its guests. The formal dining option The Steakhouse, the vibrant Italian restaurant the Grotto, and the laid-back Blake’s Bistro are some of the highlights that you would not want to miss during your stay.
