Today I went to Berlin’s Jewish Museum and Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, and both were quite moving as you could imagine. I didn’t realize that the Jewish Museum branched outside of WWII history. So when I stumbled upon 1000 A.D., I was surprised by the amount of history within the building. I spent about 3 hours inside, but easily could’ve spent 6.

When I headed over to the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, I was in a state of hyper-awareness. Having just walked through a building with almost endless documentation of the atrocities from the Holocaust, I was quite somber at the memorial. To me, the memorial feels a lot like a cemetery and deserves a level of respect. Yet people run around taking photos on selfie sticks, play tag, and sit on top of the boxes like it all means nothing. It all feels very wrong.

Because of that, I didn’t take a lot of photos today. But Google images are a great resource 😉

To end on a happier note, I saw this photo in the museum. I’m just looking for a man who looks at me the way he looks at her. It’s so ooey, gooey sweet, and I love it.
